The Department of Pharmacy was established in 2017, currently due to the large number of services and demands from students, is one of the largest departments of the institute, along with a number of laboratories and classrooms Students, in order to provide a high scientific level of employment in the pharmaceutical market in the future and serve this important area of ​​the market. The department currently has four laboratories along with a modern study campus.

In the Department of Pharmacy, several teachers with different scientific degrees teach, all of whom have special experience in teaching and scientific research and the field of pharmacy, ie students during their studies in the Department of Pharmacy, professors, teachers and assistant professors They teach courses, which are on par with international institutes and universities.

The difference of the Department of Pharmacy is due to the curriculum that takes into account all the advances in pharmaceutical science and the drug market, which results in students becoming familiar with modern science and improving their scientific level and various companies coming to the Kurdistan Region. Thus, graduates of this department will have the most employment opportunities, as they can work in the public and private sectors in hospitals, pharmacies and drug stores.
