Pre-Requisite subjects

Dear Students,

As you know, according to the institute regulations, there is a system called Pre-Requisite subjects.

A pre-requisite means that some subjects must be completed before you are allowed to study more advanced subjects in later semesters. In other words, to register for certain courses in Semester 3 or 4, you must first take the required subject in Semester 1 or 2 and participate in the final examination.

For example:

In Semester 3, there is a subject called Pharmaceutical Dosage Forms. Students must complete and sit for the final exam of Pharmacy Calculation. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to study Semester 3 next year. Furthermore, Pharmaceutical Dosage Forms in Semester 3 is itself a pre-requisite for Industrial Pharmacy in Semester 4.

Similarly, there are other subjects in Semester 2 that are required before progressing to subjects in Semesters 3 and 4.

Therefore, it is very important to attend your classes and sit for the final exams. If you do not attend the final exam, the subject will be considered incomplete, and you will not be able to enroll in the related subjects in the following semesters.

The pre-requisite subjects are as follows:

Pharmacy Calculation (S1) → required for Pharmacy Dosage Forms (S3)

Pharmacy Physiology (S2) → required for Pharmacology I (S3)

Organic Chemistry (S2) → required for Pharmaceutical Chemistry (S4)

Pharmacology I (S3) → required for Pharmacology II (S4)

Pharmacy Dosage Forms (S3) → required for Industrial Pharmacy (S4)
